A marketing manager and a sales executive have found their dream jobs with independent car supermarket Henson Motor Group thanks to the Evening Chronicle.
Jenny Esplin is now responsible for the groups marketing strategy, including press advertising, web site and the company’s constant price watch policy, as well as being responsible for liaison with advertising agencies and newspapers.
Jenny will also be in charge of marketing for subsidiary car finance specialist Auto Finance Direct UK and their website Refused CarFinance.com.
Her role will include developing the group’s Low Emission Cars section. Jenny, who has a business degree from Northumbria University, had previously worked in the leisure industry and was looking for a more varied role where she could put her degree to full use.
Mark Curry previously worked for a North East car retailer and the promise of full training attracted him to Henson Motor Group.
The two appointments come as the company completes the refurbishment of its flagship two-and-a-half-acre car supermarket at Benton Road opposite Asda.
The new steel and glass showroom includes plasma screens, a large children’s play area and free soft drinks, tea and coffee facilities.
Henson Motor Group sales manager Ross Hall said: “There was a very good response to our advertisement and I am confident we have selected the right two people.
“We will be recruiting further over the simmer months and will look to Jobs Northeast to meet our requirements for experienced personnel who want to further their career.”
Jenny said: “I had been looking for a job with more variety and one that would give me a management position. When I saw the Henson Motor Group advertisement in The Chronicle I knew this was the right move for me. It has been a steep learning curve but I am enjoying every minute”.
