Renault Megane has ditched the ass-shaking previous model and is now lower and more aggressive, with a sloping roofline. On the road the Megane is a competent and relaxing car to drive.
The speaker system in the Megane is good and it comes with a basic radio and CD player as standard. The interior is vastly improved from the previous Megane with a classy looking dash and centre console. It also feels better built, with no squeaks and rattles.
There’s a decent amount of interior space and legroom in the rear is more than acceptable for most passengers. The boot is one of the largest in its class, making it perfect for the weekly ‘big shop’.
All models come with a decent amount of equipment and the Megane is certainly a cheaper option than some of its rivals. 16-inch alloy wheels, auto headlights and windscreen wipers plus cruise control come as standard.
